Privacy Policy
Your privacy is our highest priority. Learn how we handle your files and data with our client-side processing architecture.
Last Updated: June 18, 2026
1. Privacy-First Commitment
At iluvepdf, we believe that your documents and data belong solely to you. Our platform is built on a privacy-first, client-side architecture. For all standard operations—including merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and editing—processing takes place directly in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are not uploaded to our servers.
2. Information We Collect
Because we process files locally on your machine, we do not access or collect the contents of the documents you modify. We only collect the following types of information:
- Voluntary Support Inquiries: When you contact us using our Contact Support form, we receive your name, email address, subject, and the message text. This information is processed securely via Web3Forms and is used exclusively to respond to your request.
- Anonymized Usage Analytics: We may collect basic, non-identifying telemetry data (such as page views, country region, browser type, and tool selection frequency) to evaluate system performance and prioritize tool upgrades. This data is never linked to your documents or identity.
- Local Browser Storage: We store configurations such as your light/dark theme preference and your local tool history (under the key
iluvepdf_history) within your browser's local storage. This information remains on your device and is not synchronized with any external server.
3. Browser-Side File Processing
When you select a PDF file using our tool workflows:
- The file is loaded directly into your browser's active memory (RAM).
- All processing (e.g., converting to another format, page reorganization, compression, or encryption) is executed using client-side libraries.
- The final document is generated as a direct local download in your browser.
- No file uploads are initiated, and no network traffic containing your document's raw content is sent back to our servers.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use minimal cookies and local storage tokens to provide core website functionality and convenience features, such as preserving your preferences and displaying your recently processed tasks. For more details, please review our Cookie Policy.
5. Data Sharing and Retention
We do not sell, trade, rent, or distribute personal information or user files to third parties. Support messages received via our contact form are stored temporarily to resolve support requests and are deleted when they are no longer required.
6. Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA)
Since we do not store, process, or transmit your document data across the internet, iluvepdf is inherently compliant with most major privacy standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
- Access and Deletion: You can purge your entire document history and user preferences at any time by clearing your browser's cache, cookies, and local storage.
- Right to object: Since support communication is processed via email, you may request the deletion of your support emails at any time by contacting us directly.
7. Contact Information
